DK Bags & Clothes is an independent designer label, founded in Ho Chi Minh City in 2021 by Denis Kurchenko. It starts from one idea: the working parts of an object — pockets, closures, straps — can be the design itself.
DK 01 — The original
Moscow
The first DK design. A structured unisex tote organised by a grid of external pockets. Ten pieces were made in Vietnam. Several remain in use today.

The first DK design. A structured unisex tote organised by a grid of external pockets.

A compact crossbody for the city where DK began — close to the body, quick to reach into.

A slim, structured backpack where the pocket grid becomes flatter and more exact.

Ho Chi Minh City, 2021
It started at a red light.
In 2021, riding through central Ho Chi Minh City, Denis Kurchenko noticed a bag on the back of another motorbike. At the red light he looked closer. When the light turned green he followed, overtook the rider and stopped to ask where it was from — so suddenly that the two of them nearly collided.
The rider was Anh. The bag wasn’t from a shop; he made bags himself. Denis brought sketches, Anh helped turn them into a physical bag, and ten pieces of the first design were produced in Vietnam.
Function is part of the design

Every element has a reason.
If a pocket exists, it has a job. If it has a job, it should be easy to reach. Nothing is added for decoration alone.
02Architecture
Structure creates identity.
Clear planes, strong silhouettes and pockets of different sizes set in considered relation — a structure recognisable across a room.
03Culture
Cities shape rhythm, character and perspective.
The pace of a place, how people move through it and what they carry inform the proportion, colour and mood of each model.
04Versatility
Design should adapt to real life.
Hand, shoulder, cross-body. Work, travel, evening. A bag should follow the day rather than interrupt it.

Russia is part of his cultural background. Vietnam is where his brand was born. DK Bags & Clothes sits between the two — and looks outward, to the cities where people actually use what they carry.

The DK universe is expanding.
The name has always held both. Bags came first — they are where the DK language was tested. Clothing is part of the brand’s future development and will follow the same principles: function you can see, structure you can feel, pieces made for real cities.
